COVID-19 Policies
New UV-C lights have been installed in both our Walled Lake and Birmingham locations to sanitize the air in the ducts when it is exchanged. We plan to adhere to state and CDC guidelines. Here is a list of procedures and requirements to ensure as safe of an environment as we can.
Hand sanitizing stations have been provided outside your classroom and classrooms and common areas will be frequently sanitized.
Please notify the office in advance if you must attend class virtually due to quarantine or an illness.
In an effort to keep all our students and staff healthy and dancing in-studio, beginning Monday, August 23, Studio A will require all students and staff to wear masks. During high transmission levels like our county is currently experiencing, masks are best practice for those vaccinated and unvaccinated per the CDC. The Oakland County Health Department has updated guidance that students and staff who are masked will not need to quarantine if they are exposed. We will be updating our policies for masking based on public health guidance when circumstances change. Studio A will have masks available for those in need. Students and staff members, or anyone visiting Studio A, should stay home if they are feeling unwell or displaying symptoms of COVID-19. Students will be able to attend virtually should they need to stay home due to an exposure or symptoms.
Should a case of COVID be noted within a Studio A class, an email will be sent home alerting families to the case. Studio A would provide information to OCHD, should it be requested. Studio A will not share the name or identity of the individual with COVID to the public, adhering to FERPA and HIPAA guidelines. We ask that you make the studio aware as soon as possible if your dancer or someone in your household tests positive or has an exposure so we can notify our staff and affected families
If we are unable to meet in person due to any government mandates, classes will be held virtually. Tuition will not be refundable if classes move to an online format.
One adult per child of dancers under 7 may enter the building. No other spectators will be allowed in the building.
Updates will be made to these policies if and when CDC and state guidelines change.
We are so excited to be back to class this fall!
